The Best Road Trip You Can Take In New Jersey
Gas Up! The Best Road Trip You Can Take In New Jersey
Do you ever just wanna jump in the car on a beautiful Sunday and take a ride and sightsee and maybe have a meal on the road and take some pics? Lots of folks love to take a drive and enjoy a road trip and when you can do it right here in the Garden State, that makes it even better. A new list from Love Exploring is out and it lists the best "road trips" in America.
Here in New Jersey Love Exploring selected the scenic drive from Atlantic to Cape May as the best road trip for us in New Jersey. "The best of New Jersey’s coast can be found on this trip from Atlantic City to Cape May. It travels southwest in line with the coast for around 45 miles and – if no stops are taken along the way – it only racks up an hour of driving time. The main drags of the route travel on the aptly named Atlantic Avenue and the Garden State Parkway."
If I was planning this road trip I would follow a different route. I would take all the side streets and enjoy the very scenic views. It may take a bit longer but it will be a very local and coastal trip. I'd start in Atlantic City and head south into Longport. Then head over to Somers Point. From there I'd head over to Ocean City. Then go through Strathmere and Sea Isle City. Go through Townsends Inlet and then into Avalon. Head south through Stone Harbor. Then into the Wildwoods and finally cross into Cape May.
