The 15 Best Small Cities to Live in the U.S. Are Any In New Jersey?
Maybe you are looking for a place to live that has the vibe of a city without the crowds and traffic? Maybe you want a place to live that is bigger than a tiny town but not over the top, where you feel like you are in New York City or Philadelphia. Then this list may be for you and worth a look.
Personally, I enjoy the Jersey Shore and the lifestyle in Southern Ocean County. It's a small-town feel, but if needed or desired, we are just a drive from bright lights and big city vibes. It was perfect for raising our family, and now, as "empty-nesters," it's a great place to live without big city problems.

Are any New Jersey "Small Cities" among the U.S. News and World Report 2025 Ranking?
The answer, unfortunately, is quite simple: "No". No small city in the Garden State made the Top 15 list. Even though we did not have a town in the ranks, I thought of a few "small cities" in New Jersey that could've possibly made the list. How about Asbury Park, Toms River, Cherry Hill, and Wildwood? Do you like any of these Jersey locations for "Best Small Cities"?
