Social media has become a great place to find food.

I follow so many different food-related YouTube channels, as well as TikTok and Instagram accounts to find ideas for the kitchen. I love being creative in the kitchen.

Throughout the years, so many different food items have gone crazy viral.

One may immediately think of the viral cronut that took the internet by storm about ten years ago.

The line that would wrap around the block at the Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City would be a daily occurrence in 2013 when the croissant/donut hybrid was born.

In 2024, on TikTok, it was all about the Dubai chocolate.

You couldn't scroll through your For You Page without coming across a video of someone taste-testing it for the first time.

I found videos that had 10s of millions of views.

The chocolate bar is filled with toasted kataifi, a spun pastry originating in Turkey, and pistachio.

As someone who loves pistachios, it was the one thing I would always order myself when I sold nuts and chocolates with Girl Scouts, I had to get my hands on a bar.

There are a few TikTok shops that sell them, but buying food from TikTok freaks me out.

Lucky for me, back in October my favorite Toms River restaurant posted on Instagram that they would now be carrying the viral Dubai chocolate.

The very popular halal restaurant, Royal Grill 37, has been selling these viral chocolate bars in three different varieties.

They carry it in dark, milk, and white chocolate.

I got my usual mix lamb and chicken gyro rice bowl with extra white and hot sauce for dinner. Of course, I had to get a Dubai chocolate bar.

I got the dark chocolate and oh my goodness it's amazing. It is packed full of pistachio.

To me, it is well worth the price tag for a nice unique treat.

You can try it for yourself at Royal Grill 37, 10 NJ-37, Toms River.
