What we uncovered is very interesting, and may help alleviate the pain you felt after Phil's latest prediction for our New Jersey winter, and maybe it won't.
The folks at News Nation ran a story documenting Phil's accuracy over the years, and here's what they found.

They say the NOAA has revealed that the cute groundhog is only right about 35% of the time, meaning his prediction this year is exactly what New Jersey residents wanted to hear.
With Phil being wrong two-thirds of the time, his prediction of six more weeks of winter mostlikely means we'll get an early spring. We knew we loved that groundhog after all.
