According to the food enthusiasts at Love Food, the most expensive restaurant in New Jersey is Varka Estiatorio, a Mediterranean fish house in Ramsey.
And trust me, if you’re planning on dining there, be prepared to break the bank.
Varka Estiatorio specializes in high-quality seafood, and here’s the kicker: much of the menu is priced by weight.
Take their Dover sole, for example—this delicate fish is priced at $55 per pound, and the average fish weighs slightly over three pounds.
That means you’ll spend nearly $170 for the fish, not counting sides, drinks, or dessert.
Sometimes, you get what you pay for, and if you’re craving top-tier seafood and don’t mind the splurge, Varka Estiatorio might just be worth it.
Just be ready to whip out that credit card—dining at New Jersey’s priciest restaurant will cost you.
