I use my credit card or Apple Pay almost all the time, so this is definitely a reminder I need to be more aware. If I'm not paying attention, I can easily see how the credit card reader could appear normal and not think twice about it, until it's too late.

Skimmers can be placed right over the real card reader and steal your credit information without you even realizing it. You hear stories like this, and unfortunately, it's happened once again here in New Jersey.
There was a story last month about how one was found at 7-Eleven at Rutgers University-Camden at 330 Cooper Street, and now another one has been found in New Jersey.

Credit Card Skimmer Found In New Jersey
This time, a credit card skimmer was discovered in Camden County at the Family Dollar at 5043 North Route 130 in Pennsauken.
"If you recently used a debit or credit card at that Family Dollar, police recommend contacting your card provider and reviewing your account for unauthorized activity. Pennsauken police are investigating the incident," reports Patch.
I'm not someone who ever carries cash, so this is just another reminder that I have remain extra vigilant when using my credit card. Same when using an ATM.
