Donut Mystery: New Jersey Donut Plant Will Make 1 Million Donuts A Day
This is somewhat of a delicious mystery, and the kind of news I enjoy seeing!
Do you think you could eat one million donuts a day?
It sounds like an outrageous amount of donuts to go through in a day, but there's a new donut plant coming to Jersey that plans on cranking out just about one million donuts per day, and there's a little bit of a mystery surrounding the plant.
Mystery Donut Plant Plans To Open Soon In New Jersey
Rockaway Holding Group recently reached a deal to open up a donut plant that will pump out one million donuts a day in Rockaway Township.
NJ.com reports the plant is opening in a massive facility that used to be a Party City, a company that recently announced it's closing all of its stores across the US.
The mystery is that we aren't sure what donut company plans to open this large facility.
Rumor has it that it may be Dunkin Donuts since they have a facility in Lodi already, so it would make sense that they may want to expand and move into a larger building.
However, Dunkin' Donuts has not said whether they're moving into this facility or not, but there aren't many donut companies that I know of that would need to produce one million donuts a day.
There's Krispy Kreme which just opened in Lakewood, but most of their donuts are made fresh in-house, so I'm not sure it's them.
Wawa also sells a lot of donuts, so maybe it's them moving into this massive facility to produce all of these donuts!
NJ.com reports that the company moving into this new donut plant is already operating in Bergen County at a smaller facility and plans on just moving its operations.
In the meantime, these are some of the best places to get a freshly made local donut.
