Pedestrian Killed in Hit & Run Crash on BHP in West AC

A pedestrian crossing the Black Horse Pike in the West Atlantic City section of Egg Harbor Township was struck and killed on Thursday night.

Police say the vehicle involved fled the scene.

6ABC is reporting that The deadly crash happened around 6:40 pm in the westbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike near Bayport Drive in the West Atlantic City section.

The westbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike were closed for a time as police investigated the incident. This is a dangerous area for crossing the Black Horse Pike.

Police have not given any information concerning the identity of the pedestrian.

Police are asking for tips from the public about the vehicle involved, however, authorities only said that it would have front-end damage from the impact.
